Places 2 See

This month I am instituting a new feature for Kathryn’s Kapers…a photo of some interesting Places 2 See.  Enjoy!

Paris France is one of my very favourite cities in the world; I’d go back there in a minute if I had the chance.

What’s Hot?

Here is a question I am frequently asked…”What is the hot destination this year?”.  I never know how to answer that.  The world is a big and beautiful place.  There are so many places to visit, see and explore.  What is hot to one person is not necessarily to another.

Some folks are into cruising (as I am) while others are into all inclusive stay put vacations and still others prefer exploring and adventure when they travel.  Some just want to book a flight and the first hotel then wing it from there.  The “hot” destination is something that someone, somewhere wants to promote for their own reasons.  Do you want to travel because some tour operator somewhere said this is the place to go?
I don’t know about you, but I have a “bucket list” of places to visit and things to do if I ever get a chance.  It’s not like I am keeping tabs and I’m for sure not sticking to the list.  If a friend comes along and says, “Hey, would you like to travel with me to visit – say…Timbuktu – if I am interested and I have the time and the money, even if it’s not on my bucket list, I might consider it.
I’m not the type of person to tell people what to do.  What I do best is to assist my clients with booking their travel and finding them the best options I can.  Working with you to make your travel plans a reality, I try to cover all the bases and anticipate what is needed.  Some people prefer to book their own travel.  If that is the case then I can offer my services through my online website.  Booking on this site is the same as booking with me with the same guarantee of personal service.

Guest Trip Report

As I have not travelled myself since my TPI conference last May I was at a loss for content in this section.  However, I have clients who have amazing trips and one has just returned from Morocco.  Eke has graciously allowed me to publish her trip report for you.  Check out Eke & Brian’s Moroccan Adventure.

If you would like to have your trip report published in Kathryn’s Kapers anytime just let me know.  A couple of photos and a page or so of text about your trip is all I need.

My Blog

In the interest of being concise and not overwhelming I have ended my subscription with AWeber, the company I have used to send out email announcing the newsletter Kathryn’s Kapers.  As I also have a blog which you can sign up for, I decided to eliminate the duplication.  I create a newsletter about three to six times a year; I blog a little more frequently.  From now on I will be announcing the most recent edition of the newsletter through my blog.  If you previously subscribed to Kathryn’s Kapers I will ask you to subscribe to my blog instead.  You will receive an email with a link to the blog where you can obtain the most recent travel information that I will provide.  I hope you will make the switch with me.

Finally

Statue in CopenhagenI have been a fan of Amazing Race since its beginning.  This season while the last five teams were in Copenhagen they were required to give a dramatic reading of a Hans Christian Andersen quote.  I would like to share that with you for reasons that will be obvious.

To Move
To Breathe
To Fly
To Float
To gain all while you give
To roam the roads of lands remote
To travel is to live
